Recycle Man

Back in 1993 Kevin Kinane started a music program that promotes teamwork, creativity and fun. Kevin developed his program to give kids an outlet for after school fun and it took off from there.

Now, more than 10 years later, Kevin teaches at hospitals and schools. Several times he has been hired to present his unique program to music teachers throughout New Mexico.

Mr. Kinane also developed an interactive performance persona, "Recycle-Man", who uses 'junk' for instrments (before STOMP! was a household name) and gets everybody involved. Recycle-Man has performed at everything from State Fairs, grand openings, birthday parties, street festivals and museum events. Equally comfortable with an assembly of 300 or a classroom of 10, the Recycle-Man is always entertaining and educational.

Besides percussive junk, Mr. kinane also teaches "real" instruments. Every summer since 1996 Kevin has taught at the New Mexico Jazz Workshop's Summer Jazz Camp. Utilizing keyboards, drums, vocals, harmonica, marimba, recorders and assorted string instruments Mr. Kinane teaches jam band (before "School of Rock"), where kids write songs and perform cover songs with no prior experience.
